Agro Processing is a natural downstream and key point in the agriculture value chain for fresh produce. This sector offers large potential for job creation and the establishing of SMME’s by innovative entrepreneurs. The training will also add value to the skills and knowledge of employees of existing agro processing plants.
Agri Edge offeres a two week introductory course, as well as a two month intermediate course on the principles of agro processing. This includes regulatory and quality requirements. Packaging and marketing of the products are also covered and form an important element of these training modules.
Practical demonstrations and hands on involvement of trainees are equally important as the theoretical aspect of the training courses.
